Life meant to be enjoyed and easy

Life meant to be enjoyed and easy

Life is not meant to be stressful. It is meant to be enjoyed and easy. People shouldn’t have to try so hard to be less stressed. Many people are looking for ways to reduce stress in their lives. This article will help you to identify certain stresses in your life in hopes of eliminating them to live a more simple life.

Reduce as many financial stresses as you can. We live in a time in which many people feel that they need to have a large home, a new car, expensive clothes, etc. If money is a stressor in your life, eliminate or reduce as many of these as you can. If you can stop giving your money away to what are otherwise unneeded items, it’s more money in your pocket.

You can simplify your life by not overworking yourself and not feeling guilty about giving yourself a break. Say “no” when you feel you have too much to do. And don’t feel bad about not getting everything you wanted done. It’s far more important to give yourself some down time.

Count your blessings. Some people get so caught up in everyday stresses. If you allow your mind to “give up” in thinking about what you have to do, and allow your mind time to reflect on what you have accomplished and what you are thankful for, this will lighten the load so many people carry. So simplify your life by simplifying your mind.

Give yourself a break. Tell yourself that today is the day in which you will not worry about what needs to be done. Go about your day feeling thankful for what you already have accomplished and enjoy it. What would have been the point of working so hard for everything you have if you don’t frequently take the time to sit back and enjoy it? You have already dreamed of what is now the present, so stop dreaming and start enjoying! ………

  1. Resign from a commitment you’re not passionate about.
  2. Stop trying to be perfect.
  3. Implement a basic cleaning schedule.
  4. Sign up for automatic billpay.
  5. Automate a portion of your investing.
  6. Clean out your media collection and keep only the items you love.
  7. Plant perennials that will automatically bloom next spring.
  8. Clean out your purse or wallet.
  9. Put a paper shredder next to your mail spot.
  10. Winnow your wardrobe down to pieces that work together.
  11. Delete any social networking accounts you don’t actually use.
  12. Add your number to the do-not-call list.
  13. Create a car maintenance schedule and post it somewhere you’ll see it.
  14. Design a filing system that you can stick to.
  15. Start your day with a healthy meal.
  16. Turn your phone off when you need quiet time.
  17. Invest in a programmable thermostat.
  18. Set one good goal, and go achieve it.
  19. Record your good “shower” ideas and then implement them. (Don’t we all get our best inspirations in the shower?)
  20. Write to a friend with (gasp!) pen and paper.
  21. Set limits on your bad habits, and reward yourself when you stick with them.
  22. Stop trying to be a saint and indulge yourself every once in a while.
  23. Pay off your credit card debt.
  24. Avoid watching commercials and reading advertisements.
  25. Rediscover the pleasure of reading purely for enjoyment.
  26. Plan two weeks of delicious meals ahead of time and skip the nightly grocery run.
  27. Go to your doctor for a preventative checkup.
  28. Remember the joys of doing nothing.
  29. Singletask as much as possible.
  30. Learn to ask for help.
  31. Deciding what you want to achieve each day can save hours of time,
  32. Being clear, focused and honest about your goals will make you a happier, healthier person.
  33. Making time for yourself gives you a chance to recharge your batteries and assess your emotions.
  34. Learning to live in silence and stillness helps you to lower your stress levels and achieve higher in other areas of your life.

Keep Smiling!

image

The world always looks brighter from behind a smile.

Hold onto your dreams and never let them go.

Show the rest of the world how wonderful you are!

Give circumstances a chance, and give others the benefit of the doubt.

Wish on a star that shines in your sky.

Take on your problems one by one and work things out.

Rely on all the strength you have inside.

Let loose of the sparkle and spirit that you sometimes try to hide.

Stay in touch with those who touch your life with love.

Look on the bright side and don’t let adversity keep you from winning.

Be yourself, because you are filled with special qualities that have brought you this far, and that will always see you through.

Keep your spirits up.

Make your heart happy, and let it reflect on everything you do.

SIMPLIFI YOUR LIFE…WORTH LIVING

SIMPLIFI YOUR LIFE…WORTH LIVING

image

The ability to simplify means to eliminate the unnecessary so that the necessary may speak. The best things in life are nearest: Breath in your nostrils, light in your eyes, flowers at your feet, duties at your hand, the path of right just before you. Then do not grasp at the stars, but do life’s plain, common work as it comes, certain that daily duties and daily bread are the sweetest things in life.

  • Leaving a pleasant smile on our face when we talk to a stranger gives us the feeling of ‘being alive’
  • Extending a helping hand when somebody needs it makes us feel that life is an opportunity to help people
  • Telling someone who we love that we love him or her everyday makes life worth living
  • When someone close to you makes a big difference in his/her life out of hard-work, acknowledge that feat with a few words of genuine appreciation
  • Someone dear is waiting for you and happens to get late, take a little effort to inform him/her that you are late. Do not ignore that ‘waiting’ mind.
  • Misfortune strikes all. When you have someone in such a position, be around
  • You relish a delicious dish at you dining table or at a restaurant or friends’ circle. Just mention it in few words. The person who prepared the dish would find those words much more delicious than the dish itself.
  • Eating something delicious never bores us. But mindless eating makes us sick. Is it not simple to eat right, eat enough to be fit and be fit enough to be fed?
  • If you find somebody calling in sick or being reported so, check out what is happening, and if possible personally enquire about their well being. They will find their life worth living
  • It doesn’t matter whether you are leaving home or coming home. But it does matter if you fail to register your love and its pangs and pleasures in equal measures. Never ever fail to do that simple thing
  • Important events and dates are there in everyone’s life. You will understand their importance only when someone important to you fails to remember it. Be conscious of those simple things
  • Everybody does mistakes and wrongs. Admit a mistake. Try to right a wrong when you feel that you were party to it. A ‘sorry’ makes things simpler
  • Some people like surprises some do not. But not many dislike pleasant ones. Make your life worth living by springing pleasant surprises. In a family ambience, surprise hug, a kiss, even a flying one would work wonders
  • Who doesn’t like humour? Let there be a little room for humour and laughter in our life. Laughter is a wonderful medicine and a healthy contagion. Spread it deliberately
  • Show love to your loved ones
  • When you feel like crying, feel free to cry. It is an internal shower
  • Not many gods are quick to respond to our pleas. Still it is worth praying in our own way. Forget about abodes of gods. Let us make our own prayer rooms
  • Does it take too much to understand that this world offers us many more simple pleasures than what we can afford to appreciate, and our time is so short that there is no point in worrying? Don’t worry. It’s worth going for a walk or a trip or a ride.
  • Happiness is the result of an internal assessment done by external faculties. Success lies within us.
  • In today’s nuclear family, it is a good idea to discussing and sort out things in the open. Be transparent and support each other so as to be accommodative and compromising.
  • When it comes to daily domestic chores, there are not many gender-centric things. Knowing a little cooking or home making is indeed manly, and doing it once in a while for our partner or friend is gentlemanly.
  • Do things for each other even without being told to. Let it be something ranging from making a phone call or paying a bill to visiting a sick friend or reminding one of an appointment.
  • Prioritising things in life is important. Does it need be at the cost of our mundane, idyllic personal pleasures?
  • Finally, take a little time off to play some old games. Try some raw tricks at each other. Is it wrong to simply pamper each other’s egos and interests? Why not embark on a ride to our childhood days? These are all simple things that make our life worth living.

There are a few ‘simplex’ things in our life. They are: Feeling satisfied, satisfying others, keeping fit, convincing others and living life to the full and the like. They alternate their forms, either simple or complex, depending on the way you take them. It is simple. Is it not worth a try, identifying simple things that make life worth living,

If

image

If

If
If you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on you,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you
But make allowance for their doubting too,
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don’t deal in lies,
Or being hated, don’t give way to hating,
And yet don’t look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream–and not make dreams your master,
If you can think–and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you’ve spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build ‘em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it all on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breath a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: “Hold on!”

If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
Or walk with kings–nor lose the common touch,
If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
If all men count with you, but none too much,
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And–which is more–you’ll be a Man, my son!

–Rudyard Kipling

This is my all time favorite poem I love the last sentence, ‘ you will be a man… my son ‘ it reminds me of my father, this poem always gets me ready if I am about to play a match and I always play good I read it before every match at least twice ha   it’s so inspiring I just love it,… Perfection, artistry, unity. This poem is a diamond among Gem of poetry…. This Poem Is True, it’s pure, it has as much meaning to it now as it did when it was written. I wish everyone was this honest now……… This poem was written with great wisdom, true understanding of the behavior of people, and has been and always will be one of my favorite poems. Kipling is said to have written the poem ‘If’ with Dr Leander Starr Jameson in mind, who led about five-hundred of his countrymen in a failed raid against the Boers, in southern Africa. The ‘Jameson Raid’ was later considered a major factor in starting the Boer War (1899-1902).

Rudyard Kipling’s (1865-1936) inspirational poem ‘If’ first appeared in his collection ‘Rewards and Fairies’ in 1909. The poem ‘If’ is inspirational, motivational, and a set of rules for ‘grown-up’ living. Kipling’s ‘If’ contains mottos and maxims for life, and the poem is also a blueprint for personal integrity, behaviour and self-development. ‘If’ is perhaps even more relevant today than when Kipling wrote it, as an ethos and a personal philosophy. Lines from Kipling’s ‘If’ appear over the player’s entrance to Wimbledon’s Centre Court - a poignant reflection of the poem’s timeless and inspiring quality.

The beauty and elegance of ‘If’ contrasts starkly with Rudyard Kipling’s largely tragic and unhappy life. He was starved of love and attention and sent away by his parents; beaten and abused by his foster mother; and a failure at a public school which sought to develop qualities that were completely alien to Kipling. In later life the deaths of two of his children also affected Kipling deeply.

Rudyard Kipling achieved fame quickly, based initially on his first stories and poems written in India (he returned there after College), and his great popularity with the British public continued despite subsequent critical reaction to some of his more conservative work, and critical opinion in later years that his poetry was superficial and lacking in depth of meaning.

Significantly, Kipling turned down many honours offered to him including a knighthood, Poet Laureate and the Order of Merit, but in 1907 he accepted the Nobel Prize for Literature. Kipling’s wide popular appeal survives through other works, notably The Jungle Book (1894) the novel, Kim (1901), and Just So Stories (1902).

Christmas Trees….. purify minds

Christmas  Trees….. purify minds

The Christmas tree is one of humankind’s most powerful symbols. It is the embodiment of life in all its realms: the point of union between heaven, earth and water. In most mythology and ancient religious imagery, the Christmas    tree was believed to have an abundance of divine creative energy. During the Middle Ages, it was common for a traveler to entrust one’s health and safety to a tree spirit. The Christmas   tree is seen as a powerful symbol of growth, as the tree is the only living thing that continues to grow throughout its lifetime. The  Christmas  tree is also a symbol for the true self and serves as a positive, healthy model for the unfolding development of both psyche and spirit. As we grow and develop, a larger and more mature personality emerges and begins to flower and fruit, providing its gifts and bounties to the wider world.

Medicinal uses of Christmas tree
Dried, powdered needles were mixed with deer grease to heal sores, cuts, wounds and ulcers. The needles are very high in vitamin C  and also help to stimulate urination. Fir needle tea was used to cure colds and fevers. White fir branches were made into tea to treat Malaria.

Vastu  Shastra being an ancient science deals in residential buildings, factories and industries. Vastu can be applied on flowers and plants in the house. The plants play significant role in activating positive energy to our day to day life. Here is what Vastu says about Christmas tree. Christmas  trees having great importance in nature as well as in human life. Christmas tree is most powerful and auspicious plant. The plant should be located in the North, East and North-east of the house. Christmas tree can be grown at the front or the back of the house.

I like Christmas trees

image

The CHRISTMAS trees are God’s great alphabet, With them He writes in shining green, Across the world His thoughts serene. I like Christmas   trees because they seem more resigned to the way they have to live than other things do. For in the true nature of things, if we rightly consider, every Christmas  tree is far more glorious than if it were made of gold and silver. God is the experience of looking at a Christmas  tree and saying, “Ah!”. Keep a green Christmas  tree in your heart and perhaps a singing bird will come. The Christmas  trees show respect for each other by the way they live in harmony.  This also applies to the animal kingdom.
